About Talking Leaves Fiction

Talking Leaves Fiction is a digital storytelling and publishing Website that showcases original fiction, creative writing, and literary content submitted by writers and contributors.

The Website is operated from Ontario, Canada.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Website. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Website with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

Story Submissions

The Submission is not defamatory, unlawful, hateful, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law; and
Submission of content does not guarantee publication.

Accepted works are subject to a separate Writer Submission and Publishing Agreement, which governs the publication, rights, and licensing of accepted works.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated:

All Website content, including its design, branding, logos, text, graphics, and layout, is owned by or licensed to TLF and protected under applicable intellectual property laws; and
Published works remain the property of their respective authors unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You may not:

Copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, or otherwise use Website content without permission;
Use TLF branding, logos, or other identifying materials for commercial purposes without authorization; or
Create derivative works based on Website materials without authorization.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of a writer’s copyright or other intellectual property rights in a published work unless expressly agreed in writing.
